Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!
Oh what a joyous day it is! The reason we celebrate Easter has resonated more in my heart this year than ever before. I don’t know if it’s the fact that we are studying Acts and Paul’s complete focus on the eternal and his unashamed commitment to sharing Christ or that I am memorizing Romans 8 and focusing on the truth that we have been made children of God through Christ’s sacrifice. Regardless, I am finally starting to understand the enormity of the sacrifice that was made on the cross and the reason behind the sacrifice.
Christ died on the cross that we may live. He died because of the intense love that God has for us. He died that we may be set free. And He rose again on the third day. The grave is empty and He lives! How can we live our lives in anything but complete surrender to Him if we truly understand that we owe it all.
Today I am thankful for God’s perfect plan. I am thankful that He sent His son to die on the cross that we may live. Don’t go another day without putting your faith in Christ. Let us live and walk in the joyful knowledge that the grave is empty and He is Risen!
